Holsworthy is a small town but sustainable situated in northern Devon.

Our initial instruction was to obtain reserved matters consent for the initial 20 plots. Having successfully achieved this we then advised our client that given the Local Authorities' lack of 5 year land supply that an additional application could be considered to develop adjacent fields to the north and south. 

The site comprised of 4 fields with their boundaries being divided by Devon banks and existing trees,  the layout was carefully conceived to retain these features which consolidated and enhanced the ecology on the site. In terms of the dwellings, the brief was to create a series of bespoke house and bungalow types utilising a traditional form but with a contemporary elevation style utilising modern external materials.

Utilising the additional land in their existing ownership equated to an additional 50 plots with the subsequent application being approved in April 2023.
